* Tai is one of the four villages of the Koto half of Minato. [See the map of the MInato area] Situated on the eastern side of Tsuiyama Bay, this fishing village specializes in harvesting wakame, a popular type of seaweed eaten in many different dishes.
* If you like hiking, there is a mountain trail in Tai, with amazing views of the rocky coast (such as the view to the right), and apparently, when you reach the top, you can see Kyoto Prefecture. The next town east of (yet inaccessible from) Tai is Kumihama, in Kyoto Prefecture.
* Apparently, a lot of the students at the junior high like to go to the tiny Tai Beach, located near the equally tiny Tai Port (pictured left). I've been told that there is a tall crag from which they like to go cliff-diving ... those idiots!
