He graduated from Augusta High School and was attending College in Jonesboro when war broke out. He entered the Army Air Force and was sent to Texas for training a week before his 25th birthday.
He was also survived by his sister, Minnie Mae Weems.
In 1961, then Gov. Orval Fabus chose two war dead from each county to honor. Hunter and Otho Hill were chosen from Woodruff County.
On Aug.14, 1961 Gov. Faubus issued the following message in his proclamation:
Proclamation:
Wheras, on Aug. 14, 16 years ago, there was brought to a conclusion the greatest conflict in the history of all mankind, and
Whereas, during that conflict a host of our most valiant citizens were called upon to lay down their lives to preserve the democratic principles upon which this nation was founded.

**I appoligize-for this is all I have of this clip.

But, I hope the above helps some of you.
