This is what I have heard and found so far folks. Please keep in mind that information on them is very hard to find or authenticate.
Gregg, John C. of Calhoun Co., Mi., enlisted in Company I, 2nd Michigan Infantry, April 22, 1861 at Kalamazoo, Mi for 3 years service at the age of 24. He took the muster oath on May 25, 1861. He attained the rank of Corporal before his death from disease at Harewood Hospital in Washington D.C. on January 9, 1863.
