Sigma
Epsilon?
Pi
Sigma Epsilon is the largest marketing and
sales fraternity in the country. Its 50 chapters have
produced over 45,000 members. As a result of PSE's size, diversity and
depth, it can offer what other business "clubs" simply cannot.
No matter what your major, PSE can give you the practical businesss experience
you need to become a competitive candidate for quality employment.
The
letters of PSE were not chosen at random. They stand for Prospective
Sales Executive, and in reality PSE is a
hands-on training program designed to help give people the quality skills they
need to become Professional Sales
Executives.
PSE in detail:
Pi
Sigma Epsilon, the only national, professional fraternity in marketing, sales
management and selling, is the way to get the competitive edge in the fields of
marketing, sales management and selling! Founded in 1952, PSE was created
to promote the fields of marketing and sales as careers and today is identified
as one of the greatest impact forcers training students for and encouraging them
to enter those fields.
On
the collegiate level:
PSE offers practical experience to members through
active involvement in sales and marketing projects, marketing research,
professional programs (speakers, tours, career shadowing...), community service,
social events, scholarships, general chapter operation and much more.
On the professional level:
PSE offers networking, continuing education and an
opportunity to support the development of the future leaders of sales and
marketing.
National
Network:
PSE members represent a variety of experiences,
opportunities and knowledge about what it takes to succeed in our dynamic global
economy. Through participation in the programs of Pi Sigma Epsilon,
members are provided the maximum benefit possible from the synergy created when
a variety of individuals share a common goal.
PSE at the University of Cincinnati:
UC's chapter, Epsilon Mu (EMu),
was founded in 1998. Due to the graduation of the majority of the members,
the chapter unfortunately went dormant in Spring 2002. But Epsilon Mu
recently rechartered in Fall 2002. This means that new members have the
chance to be a part of the shaping of a brand new organization and to determine
its future!
