playing some songs...

i'll be the first to admit...i am neither robert fripp on guitar, nor am i chris squire on bass.  just to name names.  i'm a novice on both, though i have been playing one, the other, or both instruments since high school.  i've been in several short lived bands as well, and while a few recordings do exist somewhere of at least two of the bands i've been in, i'll not go looking for them, nor will i post sound clips of them should i find them!  we all have our limits, and i don't want to scare anybody off this site by their hearing them...

i'll also be the first to admit that i'd love to be playing in a band nowadays, but i'm very very picky about the kind of music i want to play and the kind of people i want to play with.  the most 'successful' band i was in  (read that to say the only one that progressed from playing in the basement to actually playing live somewhere) blew apart mostly because i was very very uncomfortable playing with a drummer who travelled with 2/3 of a bottle of vodka and a couple ounces of grass in his bass drum.  sigh...

anyway, playing music is just as much fun to me as listening to it.  eventually i may have some sound clips up here of me mucking about, but for now you'll just have to make do with a few pictures and some thoughts.   enjoy...
