Mission
This website will provide information about the virtuous and devoted canine the American Pit Bull Terrier, commonly referred to as the Pit Bull. The Pit Bull is the most abused, misconstrued, and feared breed of dog by the public today. My hope is to demystify misleading stereotypes and myths, and offer a good starting point for those who want to learn more about this truly unique and amazing breed. |

The Misunderstood Breed
The Pit Bull Terrier is the most misunderstood, slandered, mistreated and feared breed of dog. Like other breeds, Pit Bulls are social, fun loving, eager to please and trainable. Unfortunately, the Pit Bull Terrier has been targeted for the criminal sport of dog fighting. These ill-fated dogs are typically starved, beaten, and tortured that they must be put down. Given the prevalence of dog fighting in every major city in our country, there are still many good Pit Bull Terriers that are looking for a loving home. Many organizations around the country rescue the dogs that are not dangerous. When you visit shelters, you will find some of the most affectionate, family oriented, social and fun loving dogs of any breed. |
