| Slammed (2003) Cast:Justin Whalin, Sasha Mitchell, Zachary Ty Brian, Tom "Tiny" Lister, Don Stark, Josie Davis Sasha Mitchell stars as "The Slammer" a championship wrestler who trains Justin Whalin to take on a big bully who sets up a winner takes all match, what's at stake is Whalin's junkyard in this mediocre action flick which is interesting if only because of it's one of Mitchell's better recent movies. Indeed the formula is the same as Kickboxer 2 and Spike Of Bensonhurst and it's all recycled here with at least the welcome touch of humor. Mitchell gives one of his better performances and the movie at least moves fast enough to be enjoyable, even if it has Justin Whalin and that kid from Home Improvement, still the movie has it's flaws, Mitchell only gets a few fightscenes, the ending is rushed and Lister is completely wasted despite his welcome touch of humor. Overall Slammed isn't the worst movie on the shelf but that's not really much of an endorsement, that being said it's heads and shoulders better than the Sasha Mitchell dud Gangland. .
