| A Man Apart (2003) Cast:Vin Diesel,Larenz Tate,Gino Silva,Jacqueline Obradors A Man Apart if anything else is at least a better made movie then xXx and is admittedly a more entertaining movie, but this stuff is too generic and sloppily made to make this routine actioner worth a look. Vin Diesel stars as a police officer who turns vigilante after the murder of his wife by a group of drug dealers. Death Wish, The Punisher and The Crow did it all better and A Man Apart is a gigantic disappointment. Some of the actionscenes are somewhat exciting but a lot of the time there is just way too much baggage which seriously gets in the way of the entertainment level. Plus the generic plot threads are far too predictable to be worth a look for anyone but Vin Diesel fans. Still it is better then xXx and that counts for something. D.F.Gary Gray ** |
