| Bloodfist III: Forced To Fight (1991) Cast:Don"The Dragon"Wilson,Richard Roundtree,Gregory McKinney,Rick Dean In what has to be the best of the series has Wilson transfered to a hardcore prison where he finds himself the target of two rival gangs, however aided by Stark (Roundtree) Wilson is able to resist fighting for awhile, only to be forced to fight when a riot is caused, which is a trap for Wilson. Bloodfist III is a genuine surprise in that not only is it better than it's predecessors it actually as a stand alone actioner works extremely well, if this is what the sequels hold in store for us, we may have a series worth looking forward to. The quality is a noticable improvement over # 1 and # 2, while those two were competent actioners, there was nothing beneath the surface. Fist III however contains a better than average script which actually takes time to develop characters as well as provide a mesage. Indeed when Wilson does indeed go kicking ass, the characters including his are so likable that we actually care what happens to them. Needless to say if a martial arts sequel delivers on these angles, one must be commended on this. Plus Fist III delivers a message which surprisingly makes this a strong offering, while director Sassone puts the viewer right in the middle of the action which make this quite an intense actioner. Indeed Bloodfist III:Forced To Fight is without a doubt Wilson's best to date.. D.Oley Sassone***1/2 |
