| Bloodfist II (1990) Cast:Don "The Dragon" Wilson,Rina Reyes Slightly improved sequel has Wilson returning as a kickboxer who is forced to compete in a outlawed tournament against doped up fighters who have been geneticly altered or something. The routine actioner rarely let's you think about how improbable it is. Overall I felt that this was an improvement over the first simply because of the brisk pace. Fist II is somewhat of a fun martial arts flick and one of the better entries in this series (Although not saying much) yet it's far too routine to really enjoy. It certainly contains enough martial arts action to please the fans who go for this type of thing, but unfortunately nothing for anyone else. It's one of those movies you watch on a rainy day with nothing to do, it holds your attention and then disappears from your memory two minutes after it's over. Sure it's enjoyable as mindless ass-kicking but the only question this mediocre sequel boasts is "There was a Bloodfist 1 ?" D.Andy Blumenthal ** |
