Bloodfist (1989)

Cast:Don "The Dragon" Wilson,Michael Shaner,Riley Bowman,Billy Blanks

Wilson stars as Jake Raye a martial artist who enters a tournament to find his brother's killer, despite a few effective moments .
Bloodfist's disappointingly simplistic plot  drop-kicks any potentional this actioner may have had.

Although
Bloodfist was of course intended to get the blood pumping especially since the cast is stocked with loads of authentic martial artists, this effort is a very disappointing in that the fightscenes themselves are only mediocre when they should show style plus it doesn't help  that the plot was stolen from the superior Kickboxer. The film has such a sloppy feeling to it, that one can't get past the overall cheapness factor. Sure there are times when Bloodfist actually has a few moments of enjoyable mayhem but typically one is just too bored to get excitied. However what saves Bloodfist at least somewhat enjoyable is that the training scenes are well done and some of the fights are good. Still it doesn't matter this is pretty routine stuff...D.Terence H.
