GREETINGS FROM THE ASSOCIATION OF NANYANG UNIVERSITY GRADUATES, SINGAPORE
5 June 2001
It is heartening to know that the alumni all over the world regardless of
distance and membership size sustain the vibrancy of Nantah fraternity.
Ven Yee's effort in getting alumni to touch base with each other through
the creation of "Nantah Alumni Online" is indeed laudable. It provides a platform for Nantah alumni to exchange views and ideas of mutual concern.
Time and space have not diluted our fond memory of our alma mater. The
proliferation of numerous websites is a concrete testimony of our affection for Nantah.
My colleagues and I wish you every sucess in the effort in bringing alumni together. We send best wishes to our alumni and look forward to seeing them at the Nantah alumni reunion in Sabah in 2002.

In his talk, Mr Tang, the former President of Chung Ling Alumni Association, Sydney told many moving stories of alumni's love for Chung Ling and the reunion, held yearly in the last 32 years unbroken. Welcoming Message
23 April 2001
Welcome to this English version of nantahfriends.com.
You are able to invoke this home page using the following URL: http://www.nantahfriends.com/english/. Please note that the contents of the two versions (Chinese and English) are not necessarily the same.
Nanyang University established in 1955 in Singapore was the first Chinese university outside China and Taiwan. Arguably it was in this University where the cultures of East and West met. The loss in action of this great university in 1980 is still controversial but further deliberation does not necessarily help.
Dr Han Suyin proposed the setting up of a new Nanyang University in 1992. Since then many Nantah alumni have worked on various models to establish the University. The realization of Nanyang Bailudong University on Internet on 17 March 2001 is an important milestone. Now the tide has turned and Internet Nanyang University will be a reality. May God bless our alma mater.
In view of the various new developments, it is time to introduce this English version so that our messages are able to reach a wider audience. Your support and contribution of article are always most welcome.
