The Mylne's Court Social Program

Over the course of the academic year, the wardening team organises and runs a number of social and sporting events for the residents. These are advertised on our yahoo calendar -

- via the email mailing list run by the hall, and on posters, which usually appear a week before the event. If you have any suggestions for a social or sporting event, please a member of the wardening staff.

Sporting Events 2002 - 03

The Hall runs a football practise every Wednesday and Saturday - For further information please contact the team captain, Andrew MacFarlane in Edward Salvesen 611

In the past we have also held informal meetings for basketball and squash, and would love to hear from anybody who would like these or similar sporting events to be organised (if anyone is into fishing, the deputy warden would love to hear from them!)

Videos

Apart from holding regular video nights every Sunday,any resident who would like to borrow the hall VCR and/or one or two titles from our extensive (and continually growing!) library of videos, should go to the house office, and on production of their University Matriculation card can have the use of these for 24hours (no advance booking - first come, first served)

Friday Night Drinks

On the occasional Friday night, between 8 - 10pm, the Wardens and Senior Residents organise an informal drinks night to which all residents are cordially invited to join them for a glass or two of wine or juice and a chat - more details via email and posters

Parties and Celebrations

Occassionally(!) residents hold their own parties, either in their flat common area, or the Edward Salevesen Common Room. We ask that if anybody wishes to hold such a function, that they fill out an application form (available from the office, or as a download, here). If people wish to open the party up to other residents, they can ask the wardens to stick it on the halls calendar, which can be viewed
