7.5/10 It was a good movie. The special effects were awesome, and you felt like you were being pulled into the wizard world. I haven't heard of any of the British characters but you will hear them more once they get older. Having read the book first, I knew what there should have been, but some things weren't there. For instance, Potions. Overall, it was a good movie.

7/10-Not as good as the book as usual. The new actors to film (Radcliffe, Grint, Watson) were good, and we can expect great things from them (no pun intended). The British cast was great, though I hadn't heard of most of them. Robbie Coltrane, Harris, Maggie Smith, and Alan Rickman were great. The movie was funnier than the book, but it didn't develop the characters enough as the book. I would have rather seen the movie first and then read the book, but I can't turn back time.

8/10. The only reason the movie was such a hit was because the book was a hit, making the movie extremely anticipated. I thought it was good I guess. The special effects were pretty nifty, but some looked cheap. Even though a lot of little kids went to see it, I don't think it would be good for anyone under the age of eight.

Rated PG for scariness and breif profanity.
