Standard Biped Joint Orientations

The standard Biped joint orientations for the initial model position are as follows:
Hips Z-axis points out the front of the body. Y-axis aligns with the spine with the positive side going up. X-axis is horizontal with the positive side pointing out the left hip.
Chest Z-axis points out the front of the body. Y-axis aligns with the spine with the positive side going up. X-axis is horizontal with the positive side pointing out the left side.
Head Z-axis points out the front of the body. Y-axis aligns with the spine with the positive side going up. X-axis is horizontal with the positive side pointing out the left side.
Left Arm Y-axis points up through the elbow. The elbow rotates around the X-axis which is parallel with the arm.
Right Arm Y-axis points up through the elbow. The elbow rotates around the X-axis which is parallel with the arm.
Left Hand aligned the same as the Left Arm.
Right Hand aligned the same as the Right Arm.
Left Leg Y-axis points up through the knee. The knee rotates around the X-axis which is parallel with the leg.
Right Leg Y-axis points up through the knee. The knee rotates around the X-axis which is parallel with the leg.
Left Foot Y-axis points up through the side of the foot. The toes point up the Z-axis. The X-axis goes through the middle of the foot from top to sole.
Right Foot Y-axis points up through the side of the foot. The toes point up the Z-axis. The X-axis goes through the middle of the foot from sole to top.
