Polygon Edit > Polyset > Extract polygons

Removing and Transplanting Polysets

Extract polygons removes polygons from one polyset and places them in a newly created polyset.

>
Note: When you use this tool, any active items that are not vertices are made inactive, and any active vertices remain active.

How to Use

1
Select Polygon Edit > Polyset > Extract polygons or click the side icon.
The system prompts:
Select vertices or polygons to extract.
2
Select all the vertices of the polygons you want to extract. The system prompts:

Selecting these vertices can be done a vertex at one time or per polygon, in the same way as with Pick Vertex tool.

Select/deselect vertices of polygons to extract. Click on GO to execute extract.
3
Once the vertices have been selected, click Go to perform the extract.

Once extracted, all polygons selected for extraction are removed from their current polyset and placed in a new polyset.

The vertices of each extracted polygon are displayed as active to indicate exactly what geometry was extracted. It is important to note that extracting all polygons from a polyset will leave the originating polyset with no geometry.

>
Note: Each polyset that polygons are extracted from generates a new polyset. For example, if you extract polygons from five different polysets, five new polysets are created, each containing extracted polygons from the five originating polysets.
