Click here to read my CJ'01 chronicle.
Time is flying fast and it's now Thursday July 12th. Here I am at the mini-golf course at Cranberry Village in Cavendish, right after finishing our game. To the left of where I am standing was the entrance to Ripley's Believe it or Not!.
While in Cavendish on Thursday, we went to Sandspit Cavendish Beach, a modest amusement park. Here is one of my many trips on the Cyclone roller coaster with the other guys. I am sitting in the front seat on your right.
No trip to Cavendish is complete without a visit to Green Gables House! It was interesting to see this house after touring the Lucy Maud Montgomery Museum in Bala, Ontario three years earlier.
I just had to take a photograph of this! This makeshift morgue in a tractor trailer was located somewhere between the Wolf subcamp entrance and the main gates.
Here I am signalling to one of the leaders how much I've enjoyed CJ'01, as it draws near a close on Friday July 13th. Here I am in the salty Gulf of St. Lawrence, unlike a lot of my group who chose to stay on the beach. Does the background of this photo look familiar? This scene, with the house, cliff, and trees  was used as part of the set of the CBC Television series Emily of New Moon.
This was one of the most popular activities at CJ'01, called Mud Mazing. Although our group didn't actually participate in this messy activity, we were able to get a glimpse of it on Friday afternoon.
All good things must come to an end. Here we are at closing ceremonies on the evening of Friday July 13th. The person speaking on stage is none other than Canadian Governor-General Adrienne Clarkson.
Here's a close-up of Adrienne Clarkson from the above photo.
CJ'01 is now closed, and we're on our way back to Ontario. On our way home on Saturday July 14th we took a tour of Quebec City. This is the Plains of Abraham, the site of the battle between the British and French which determined the fate of New France.

Here is our team pennant for the Dory Rowing on March Water activity on Wednesday July 11th, which I helped to design. This was a good break after being drenched in salt water by the pirates!
I must apologize for the quality of this photograph. This is a typical street corner in Old Quebec just before dusk. If you look carefully, you can see a horse-drawn carriage.
Here is one of the personalized pins I had engraved at the Trading Post at the X-centre.
Here is the other personalized pin I had engraved. This one featured the two nicknames my fellow Scouts called me by throughout CJ!
