Detective Conan Episodes

Detective Conan has been airing in Japan since 1996. The first episode was aired on January, 8th. About 60% of the episodes are based on Manga files. The rest of the episodes are TV originals. Most of Manga based cases are composed of two parts. Some of them are 3 parts. There are special episodes with 1 hour length, and some that has 2 hour length.

When they first decided to animate Detective Conan manga, they never thought that it would continue for more than 11 years, so at first they modified the parts that is related to the black organization. They modified how Conan met Miyano Akemi (Sister of Haibara), and they edited the case that Conan was supposed to discover the names of Gin and Vodka in it.

Since most of Detective Conan cases are not related to the main plot, it does not matter in which order you watch them, as long as you watch the ones related to the main plot in order. Because of this, manga based episodes do not follow the same order of the manga.
