Rose (Bruno) Capuccina
Age 90
Rose Bruno was born in Belmont, Italy which is part of
Calabria. She was orphaned at the age of five and was
raised in a convent. When she was 22 she came to
America in 1912 to marry Cesare Capuccina. Cesare
had come to America in 1904 from Amantea, Italy. They
originally settled in Pennsylvania and later moved to
Connecticut. They had five children: Florence, Asunta,
Antoinette, Philomena, and Cesare. Rose was widowed
at the age of 45 and lived to the age of 95.
Rose was a wonderful cook and one of her specialties
was Pizza
Fritta (fried dough).
