Project: "The Sheep of His Pasture"
Grade: Kindergarten
Materials:
12 x 18 white construction paper
Green & Yellow Tempura paints
8-10 plates for paint
Crayons
Or oil pastels also
Black Tempura on Separate plate
Stamps made out of Yarn and foam board
Blotters / paper towels
Prep: For this project, painting stamps need to be
made ahead of time by the teacher.
The students could do this with a lot of help at this age. Cut Foam
board to
about 3 x 4 inches and wrap a heavy yarn around the little board.
Tie it tightly on the back side. Make one for each student.

Write Names on the papers, following the seating chart.
Activity: Students will draw will stamp, cut paste,
draw and paint all in one short
lesson. 1. paint and stamp 12x18 white paper. 2. Cut out sheep hand
out.3. glue sheep to Grass sheet. 4. Glue cotton balls to sheep
cut out. 5. Add Grass stems and flowers when the picture is finished
6. While students are coloring assist the students with finger print
heads, ears and feet for sheep .
Objectives:
Use Creativity and Imagination to make something all their own
Understanding the use of line (design elements), composition, and
color
Understand the use of color -Bright colors - when creating something
to attract attention
Encourages imagination and Creativity.
Integrates the Bible lesson and Psalm 23 "the Lord is my Shepherd"
Integrates social studies lesson on farm animals.
