Saving Documents

Review

Let's review what we've learned about saving documents:

Save often so that you do not lose information.

Save by selecting "Save" or "Save As" from the File menu and/or by clicking on the Save toolbar button.

Click on the drop-down arrow in the "Save In" box to change the location where the file will be saved.

Open folders by clicking on each one and then the Open button.

Delete the default file name and type the new name.

Do not change the "Save as Type" (document extensions) until you have learned more about them.

Click on the Save button to finish saving the document.

To save to a disk, insert the disk first and then change the "Save In" box to "3-1/2 Floppy (A:)".

Remember to remove your disk after saving, but make sure the floppy disk drive light is off first.

Another way to save to a disk is to right-click on the document icon, open the "Send To" submenu, and select "3-1/2 Floppy (A)".

To cancel the Save process, click on the Cancel button or the Close ("X") button in the "Save As" dialog box.

Very good!
Now you're ready for the test.
