Jackie Davis Martin presently teaches composition and creative writing at City College in San Francisco. She's spent her life in the classroom, using school experiences as fuel for essays, as well as taking her encounters with and observations of people as the inspiration for stories. She's taught and lived on both coasts and finds that San Francisco offers pretty much everything there is in the way of both arts and natural beauty.

Mary Fifield's fiction, essays, and reviews have appeared in print journals such as Mediphors, Colere, and Intercom, and in online publications including Verbsap and ChickLit. She received a Master of Fine Arts in Creative Writing from San Diego State University. Mary is currently working on a novel about the Guatemalan civil war.

Deborah Poe's writing is forthcoming or has recently appeared in Caesura, Red Mountain Review, Copper Nickel, Drunken Boat, and the anthology Fingernails Across the Chalkboard: Poetry and Prose on HIV/AIDS From the Black Diaspora. Two of her poems were nominated for Pushcart Prizes this year and last. Her poetry collection Our Parenthetical Ontology is forthcoming from CustomWords. She is now working on a second poetry collection, Elements, as well as a short story collection entitled Event Landmarks from which "In the Same Kind of Waiting" comes.

Roslyn Willett is a life-long New Yorker, a "pioneer" feminist (according to a new U. of Ill. book), has been writing since she was a kid, professionally in the sciences and high tech, but more recently fiction. She has published fifteen short stories in "little magazines", has also written a long novel about the transition in U.S. society from 1960-85 for which she'd like a publisher.
