SRR Ra`KalenChapter Forty-One: Raith's Apology
[Kalen]

After a long conversation with tr`Ghire, Raith found himself back in the corridors- aimlessly wandering. The conversation was fairly straight forward- Ghire was to lead a simple acquisition mission with one of Raith's officers. Ghire was to have command (in name) of a small team. His orders- Track down and acquire a former Star fleet officer, now in Romulan space, who by his manner has proven interest in rejoining the forces of the empire. This mission would both prove Ghire's competence as a commander and his level of loyalty to the faction.

Erie`Arrain tr`Kuro had been issued orders to place his squad and himself under Ghire's command for the duration of the mission. A L`bel class bomber had been prepped and the team was to leave as soon as they were ready.

Raith had to grin to himself- he was very happy with his new implants and couldn't wait for Meira and Pranara to finish the installation. Happily the sub commander strolled down the station's decks- millions of thoughts flashing through his mind.

One thought stuck him in particular and his unaccustomed smile was gone as abruptly as it had appeared. tr`Nerik was a menkha officer- one he owed more respect to- one he was ashamed for the mistreatment he had been giving thus far. Raith swore to himself that he would search the Arrain out and apologize over a bottle of rhenish.

Raith's hand gracefully slides across the wall console that lines the station's corridors. His mind reaches out and hungrily consumes the data he is in search of. Raith's mouth returns to a grin as he changes direction to intercept Jerel. Though the physical link between Raith and the computer is broken, he keeps a low frequency communication going- updating himself on Nerik's position every few seconds.

Minutes and decks pass, Raith rounds a corner and runs into a startled political officer.

Raith> ::nods to Nerik:: do au have a moment Arrain?

Nerik> Ie... ::glum look on his face:: what can I do for you rekkhai?

Raith> ::shakes his head:: Na... Na. It is I that must do a servos- I wish to apologize to au...

Nerik looks surprised but doesn't say anything. "I have done au a disservice Jerel," Raith continues. " Au have given me no call to not trust au- yet I treated au as a fvai. For this I apologize and make state this: I will no longer mistreat au in this childish manner- unless there is ever a valid reason to- thlei (my word). I don't need to fight with my officers- I have too enemies to deal with as it is..." Raith shakes his head, then looks straight into Jerel's eyes. His gaze is unnerving- his eyes shifted into a glowing yellow hue- blare at the centurion. "Do I have your loyalty?"

Neirk is still confused at the sudden change in Raith's treatment and stumbles off a quick agreement. "Ie rekkhai... au do."

With that, Raith nods and hands Nerik an ISD. He Salutes the Arrain, turns, and glides down the corridor. Nerik looks down at the storage device and is surprised to find the CO's personal log. Upon further study it appears to be an actual log- not one made specifically to through investigation off from his actual activities. Attached to the Log is the mission briefing- Labeled for the eyes of the CO, XO, and PO only. Nerik pockets the ISD for later study and goes on his way.
