Art Objects, and Odds and Ends

A greatsword of black metal, engraved with countless runes, hangs on the wall.  A plaque beneath reads, 'Darkslayer'.

A curious, heavily engraved and unusual gemstone, the Zodiac Stone.

Below the map, on a small, ornate wooden table, rests a strange crystal with an image trapped inside. An inscription reads, The Nymph Nemerte.

On this table lies the brass-bound history of Lord Rowanmantle, from childhood to his latest adventures, including details on the Lost World of Caragore.

An ancient tome lies bound upon the tabletop. Stamped in the cracked leather cover are the words 'The Prophesies of Sefton, Oracle of Za'. On it lies a scroll bound in yellow ribbon. Try as you might, your hand inevitably veers away from the ancient tome. You can, however, grasp the scroll, but as your hand nears it a feeling of great unease settles on you, increasing as the yellow ribbon falls away.

A plain ceramic jar with a lid bearing a sigil of some kind is filled with black, oily looking beans. The jar rests on a sheet of parchment. Here is a closer look at the parchment and the sigil.

Next to the history lies a carved scarab depicting Lord Rowanmantle's mage sigil.

Within this gilded case is the Scroll of the Shadow Swords, the charter and listing of the members of that famous adventuring band, of which Lord Rowanmantle is a founding member.

This book holds rumors of the Realms brought to Lord Rowanmantle by friends, guests, and detractors.

Also on the table is a three inch high, four sided crystal pyramid is a mystical repository for some of Lord Rowanmantle's memories from a delightful misadventure brought about by a mishap with the astral whirlwind. Pick it up, and see....

Within inches of the crystal pyramid sits a small golden box, only four inches on a side, and fantastically ornate.

Below the painting a painting of the druid Alyysssa, sitting on a small, gilded table decorated similarly to the frame of the painting above, is a plain drinking mug, without any accompanying explanation or identification.   The cup smells faintly of apple cider.  Scattered across the tabletop is crushed lavender, its scent permeating the room.

Next to the cup is a truly astonishing sight, a tiny oak tree, 18" high, made of precious stones and metals.   Here is a closer look.

Also sitting on the table is Lord Rowanmantle's crystal ball, recovered from a vampiric lizardman.  Wherever Lord Rowanmantle travels, the ball travels as well.  Looking closely, you see what occupies much of Kalamar's thoughts and emotion, even when his travels take him far away.
