Part 5, page 6
Unfortunately, Neko didn't seem satisfied with the short version.  "Night Angel said he was there to protect me."  Tenshi had forgotten she had said that back then.  She wished she hadn't.  "Is that why you're going to Eryx?  To protect me?  Don't you get your own planet?"
"I have a moon - Eryx's moon," Tenshi revealed quietly.  She tried desperately to figure out how to get out of this conversation.  She wished Neko didn't remember everything she told her.
"Do you get to rule it?  Will you be a boy or a girl there?"
"Um, I can be whichever I want."  Neo-Queen Serenity had told her that when Neko and she had asked, worried that she might end up a prince instead of a princess.  She suspected that this Neko would want it the other way at this point.
She was right.  "So you'd be my Knight?" Neko asked, now excited.  "And you'll be the prince of my moon?!  Does Mi-chan have a Knight to protect her like me?"
"Um, no.  She doesn't have a moon.  But she can have one - a Knight, not a moon - when she takes her throne, I guess.  Ryo-sama became a Knight around the time he married your mom.  So I guess, if she wants Jian-kun to be her Knight. But, I don't know because he used to be well, nevermind.  The truth is, I don't know.  The Knight-situation is kinda fuzzy.  Your brother has his own planet, so the question becomes who the Sailor Senshi is for that planet."
"Chibi.  His name is very silly," she said.  Tenshi was grateful that she didn't press the subject.  She didn't know how Neko had managed to get through that without getting confused.  Even Tenshi had gotten mixed-up trying to answer her questions truthfully and still not reveal the extent of their relationship.  She thought she had failed when Neko had been so excited about the "prince of the moon" deal, while, at the same time, Neko's excitement had allowed her to hope that she had already figured out that she was attracted to Tenshi and was just trying to work around the same-sex issue.  But she had dropped the subject so nonchalantly, that Tenshi didn't think she could possibly be aware of their feelings for each other.
"His name is really Gebriel," she responded to Neko's carefree comment.
     "
Honto?" Neko asked, surprised.  "Mi-chan always says 'Chibi.'  I thought that was his actual name."
     They both burst into giggles.
~*~*~*~*~*~*~*
Jasper walked back up the path slowly, lost in thought.
Neko had been practically latched onto Tenshi's arm as they had all exited the mountain.  He wondered how much of the Night Angel-thing had reawakened her feelings for Tenshi.  He consoled himself with the thought that perhaps she just needed more support because she wasn't feeling well.
*You're supposed to be happy for them, baka!  Your princess and your prince(ss) getting back together - that's supposed to be a joyous occasion.  What's wrong with you?*
Jasper continued walking, and then realized that he had already passed the opening in the mountain that they had exited by.  He looked around.  Where were Neko and Tenshi?
He checked the tunnel, but they weren't in there, at least not as far as he could see.  He turned back and found himself face to face with a furious Mi-chan.
"What the hell did you do with my sister and Tenshi-kun?!" she roared at him as she shoved him against the rock wall.
~*~*~*~*~*~*~*
Neko grabbed onto Tenshi's arm as they found themselves materialized elsewhere.
"Where did you take us?" she asked fearfully.
"Sorry, Koneko.  This wasn't my doing."
Neko squeezed tighter.  "I was hoping you were like Mi-chan and Jasper-kun and had some paranormal power like teleportation.  Where are we?"
Actually, Tenshi remembered, it was Jasper who used to be able to teleport.  Neko must have been counting his healing ability as his power.  She supposed it was kind of supernatural, but it wasn't like Neko and Mi-chan's psychic powers.
She looked around.  In front of them was a rock face not unlike the one they had just left.  She wondered if it was the same mountain.  She turned around and found that they were actually at a pretty flat area.  "Ne, I think we're maybe right where we're supposed to be."
Stretched before them was a clearing with a pond, and beyond that, woods reaching out to the next peak over. "The reflecting pool!" Neko cried jubilantly.  "We found it!"
"Easy, Koneko.  We don't have all the stones yet.  And we don't really know where we or the rest of our party are," Tenshi said.  "Maybe we should try calling your sister."
Neko watched with great interest as Tenshi opened up her communicator watch.  "Mi-chan?"  Just like earlier, the watch was showing nothing but static.  "Hmm, there must be some force on this mountain blocking our communication signals."
She watched with amusement as Neko studied her own watch.  "Can we use it like a phone?" she asked, finally getting it to open.  "Can I call my okaa-san or something?"
"Uh, kinda.  It's for the Sailor Senshi, so you couldn't call out for a pizza or anything.  But you could call anyone in your family or me.  Except they seem not to be working right now."
Neko looked disappointed, but got over it quickly when she remembered how close they were to their goal.  "Ne, ne, Tenshi-kun.  Let's go check out the reflecting pool!" she suggested as she began to skip off towards it.
     "Koneko!
Matte!"
The words had barely passed her lips when both of them were hit by a force that threw them into the mountain wall.
