It's interesting how reputable child-care experts are often NOT listened to on subjects like parental inovlvement, nurturing and the necessity of tender non-violent, non-punitive parent-child interactions--YET the same parents tout the lurels of whoever they find to watch their child. This cartoon also relates to the ongoing and historical abandonment of children by parents who can afford to abandon them. See also the cartoon Child Check .
