This document is intended for the use of the members of the Black Tower Guild on Dragon's Fang. If other people find it useful, that is just a bonus.
These are subranks that denote IC training, not IC rank or authority. One would need to be at least Skilled subrank to become Dedicated or Asha'man, although it should be exceedingly rare for an Asha'man to not be of Fully Trained subrank.
This syllabus does not include unarmed combat yet. In order to conform to the rest of the MUD, we should use the same basic tenets for bare handed fighting that the Aiel use. The problem is that the Aiel do not have an unarmed syllabus, either. It may be possible in the future to coordinate with the Aiel Guildleader and produce one. Until such time, we will not have one, though.
Failing any of the tests in the syllabus should require a two day wait before retesting. Follow the links below for the part of the syllabus you are interested in.
The purpose of this syllabus is to be flexible. It should allow for those with experience RPing a male channeler on Fang, or even just a natural aptitude for it, to advance rapidly while at the same time providing for the instruction necessary for the true beginner. For that reason, the tests are much more important than the actual lessons. The lessons are just a means of gaining the knowledge necessary to pass the tests. I doubt the syllabus is perfect, which means it will need to be tweaked from time to time to improve it. I do not think it will need any major changes, though. It is designed such that if one feels the need for great amounts of training, he can get it without forcing those that do not require it to plod through a huge syllabus.
Most of the material on this site is not original. It was collated from several sources. Most of it was obtained from the old Asha'man syllabus notes. Bits and pieces come from the Rebel Aes Sedai Syllabus, the Dreadlord Syllabus and the Rebel Warder Syllabus. A couple of things are even original. Mostly it is organized for easier reference and the emphasis is placed on the tests instead of the lessons.
