These rumors were compiled over a year and a half period. The most recent rumors are the ones on the highest page number. Some of these things have happened already and some will never happen! Have fun reading!

It is thought that Juve's Antonio Conte has received offers from two English Premiership clubs. Conte seems to be attracting attention despite the ankle injury that will keep him out for the next month or so. The Italian Euro 2000 midfielder appears to have become the target of offers should he decide to move on from Juve. The Italian press are reporting that Juve have received two very interesting offers from Arsenal and Aston Villa, although English papers take it as being Chelsea and Villa. However the Italian runners-up Juve do not seem to be ready to give up on their captain and whichever English clubs fancy him will have a fight on their hands.

It seems that Antonio Conte too, has been taken by the so called " Batistuta syndrome." This is a wide spread phenomenon in Italy these days and it's providing quite a few problems to various team owners. As a matter of fact, since Roma's president Franco Sensi was ready to give Batigol, who is already 33, $6m a year, then why shouldn't the other teams do the same? It seems that this is also what Italy's Antonio Conte is thinking. The player, who is already 31, thinks his team should re-negotiate his contract, which is valid for two more seasons and is of $1.5m per season. However since Juve doesn't seeem willing to do so, Conte might as well decide to accept one of the many offers he has received following his great performance at Euro 2000. Chelsea, Barcelona, Valencia, Deportivo, Glasgow Rangers, Roma, and Parma would be more than happy to welcome him.

According to the Dutch media, Juventus with an unexpected move has secured 17-year old player from Ajax Amsterdam, Sergio De Windt. The player whose contract with the Dutch giants had just expired was immediately contacted and hired by Juve. It's still unclear whether Juve will let him play with the regular team due to his young age or if he'll stay with Juve's youngsters for a few years before his debut in Serie A.

Juve are determined to get Flamengo's young defender Athirson and have two options to do so. They can either buy the player now, but their offer of 7 million dollars is considered way too low by the Brazilian club, or wait for the player's contract to expire in December and buy him during the winter soccer market in January. This would be the most sensible choice since Athirson will also be part of the Olympic team going to Sydney, which means he won't be available before mid-September in the best of cases. However getting the player at no cost In January might irrevocably compromise Juve's relations with Flamango which have been very good so far.

It seems that Barcelona is ready to let Rivaldo go after all. AC Milan has the advantage of being able to spend big if they want, while Juve would have to sacrifice Zinedine Zidane (whom Barcelona would gladly accept) in order to have the Brazilian star in Turin.

Juventus have offered three and a half million dollars for Napoli's young French star Emanuel Troise. The highly rated cetre back is considered to be Ciro Ferrara's heir. For the moment Napoli's answer was negative but this won't stop the Turin giants, as they really want the player.

Juve's deputy managing director Antonio Giraudo has cleared the air surrounding the futures of Alessandro Del Piero and Pippo Inzaghi. Del Piero and Inzaghi have come in for criticism for their displays in Euro 2000, particularly Del Piero for his two costly misses in the final against France. However Giraudo has confirmed that the two players have the complete trust of the management and the team. He said: "Everybody will see how all those things that were said about Del Piero were completely untrue. Alex will prove them wrong. We know what Del Piero is worth. He's a great champion and a great man. Unfortunately in our country people tend to raise their voices a bit too often, then they often regret it." Inzaghi is rumoured to be about to leave the Turin club but Giraudo revealed that nothing could be further from the truth. He added: "He's a Juve player. He's been with us for three years and still has four years of contract. There really is no problem, there has never been a problem. All this was created by the media."

Juventus have found their goalkeeper of the future. It's 20 year old Belgian player Jean Fracois Gillet who has played this last season in Italy with Serie - B team , Monza. For now Gillet will obviuosly be Van der Sar's subtitute but Juve's mangement is hoping to have found their next generation goalie. Howver it is entirely possible that Juve will lent him for a year to Napoli in order to have him gain some exprience in Serie A first. If he'll stay after all, then Juve might lent Napoli their more experienced second goalkeeper, Michelangelo Rampulla, who will probably retire after this next season.

Celta Vigo have suceeded in convincing Juve's Juan Manuel Esnaider to move to Spain. The striker had initially refused the deal saying he preferred to be a second stringer at Juve rather than going back to Spain but he now seems to have changed his mind and is very close to leaving Turin. The two teams had reached a deal a while ago so now the decision remains with the Argentine.

Juventus is very interested in the continuing delay of the Salas deal and are thought to be trying to see if they can bring the player to Turin. The Chilean striker who still refuses to go to Parma as part of the Crespo deal, has in any case very few chances of playing in Rome next season. It seems that Cragnotti will succeed in convincing Tanzi to give him Crespo regardless of Salas's decision, maybe substituting him for another player like Sergio Conceicao. If this proves to be true Lazio, who already have Claudio Lopez, will have a striking duo plus Simone Inzaghi as a replacement, and so Salas will find his chances limited. With this in mind Lazio are ready to cash in on the player and Juve could be ready to swoop. At the moment the Turin squad seems to have a slight advantage over Inter Milan that is similarly interested in the player. If Salas will end up at Juve is very possible that the Turin squad will want to sell Filippo Inzaghi. AC Milan would want him and has offered 35 million dollars plus Rino Gattuso but Juve is reluctant to give the player anywhere but abroad.

In a few days, Juventus will have Flamengo's defender Athirson. The Brazilian is ready to sign a deal with the Turin squad and move to Italy. The South American player was freed of the charges accusing him of taking doping substances only yesterday and since now he won't have to face any punishment it will allow him to continue playing. Athirtson was accused of doping when he was found positive at a test done after a Brazilian Cup game, but the player has always proclaimed his innocence saying he was taking nutritional supplements and didn't know they contained forbidden substances.

Speculation is mounting that Filippo Inzaghi could be set to team up with his brother, Simone, at Lazio this summer. Should Lazio succeed in signing Pippo, it would mean that the two Inzaghi brothers Filippo and Simone could play as the strike duo for Lazio. The younger Inzaghi, Simone, seems enthusiastic of the idea and has already helped Lazio get in touch with his brother in the Netherlands while Sergio Cragnotti is concentrating on dealing with Juve's managing director Luciano Moggi. However, if Inzaghi arrives in Rome, somebody has to go to Turin to replace him and Lazio are said to be offering Chilean striker Marcelo Salas. However, the price of Salas is around 18 million while Inzaghi's is much higher and since Juve is notoriously a money-wise team, Cragnotti will have to include either more money or another player in the bid.

Serie A rivals Lazio and Juventus are prepared to off-load some of their major stars in an effort to grab the signature of Parma's Argentine striker Hernan Crespo. Lazio are, according to Italian newspaper reports, prepared to offer their Chilean striker Marcelo Salas and midfielder Matias Almeyda for Crespo, while Juve will offer their midfielder Alessio Tacchinardi and about 20 million as bait in order to sign the 24-year-old striker. Parma president Callisto Tanzi and Lazio owner Sergio Cragnotti are set to have talks on Wednesday to thrash out a deal. But Juventus, who have just bought French striker David Trezeguet from Monaco, are hoping to scupper the Rome club's hopes. Italian media reports suggest that Salas would not be happy in moving to Parma as it would mean playing in the Uefa Cup rather than the Champions' League next season. So the Turin club are hopeful they can persuade Parma that the better deal lies with them.

Juventus and Celta Vigo reached an agreement for the transfer of Juan Eduardo Esnaider. If Esnaider accepts the move, he will play in Spain next season. Juventus hasn't confirmed Daniel Fonseca's transfer to Sporting Lisbon. The team says that it wants to see how Fonseca performs in pre-season before determining his future. Juve has renewed its interest in young striker Marco Marchionni from Empoli.

Juventus is preparing a couple of new entries: 21-year old goalkeeper Jean-Franois Gillet (Monza, Belgian Under-21 National team) and 28-year old left fullback Marko Rehmer from Hertha Berlin. The transfer of 24-year old midfielder Patrick Vieira looks more likely as Arsenal is set to buy Flavio Conceio from Deportivo La Corua for the reported sum of Lit 45 billion [$22.2 million; 14.7 million].
