CURRENT NEGOTIATIONS: Afanou [Bordeaux], Campbell [Tottenham], Gallas [Olympique Marseille], N'Gotty [Milan], Nonda [Rennes], Luccin [Olympique Marseille].
NEGOTIATIONS 2000/01: D. Andersson [Bari], Bellini [Atalanta], Cassano [Bari], Crespo [Parma], Enyinnaya [Bari], Gavilan [Cerro Porteno], Junior [Palmeiras], Lucarelli [Lecce], F. Mancini [Bari], Roberto Carlos [Real Madrid], Rivaldo [Barcelona].
PLAYERS REQUESTED: Oliseh [Newcastle, Olympique Marseille, Arsenal], Mirkovic [AEK Athens, Bari], Zidane [Barcelona, Inter, Real Madrid, Lazio], Birindelli [Bari].

Milan and Juve are also targeting 23-year old striker Francoaldo Sena de Souza, better known as Frana [So Paulo]. A 20-billion lire offer [$10.6 million; 6.4 million] by Juventus was rejected by team president Bastos Neto. Frana, who was the leading scorer of the 1998 So Paulo League with 12 goals, has said in the past that he wanted to try either the Italian or Spanish league.

According to the Mediaset website, Juventus is following Palmeiras' Junior (Jenilson Angelo de Souza). The Brazilian left back was born on June 20 1973 in Santo Antonio de Jesus.

Juventus has bought 18-year old midfielder Matteo Brighi from Rimini. Brighi who will join Juve in July will be in joint ownership with Rimini, but Juventus has the option to buy the other half for Lit 2 billion [$1 million; 645,000]. Brighi's contract will be 5 years.

Supposedly, Juventus has made a $10 million (US dollars) offer for Sao Paulo forward Franca.

Juventus' president Vittorio Chiusano has informed the authorities that someone falsified his signature in a fax sent to the Banca Sella (where assumedly Juventus has an account). This fax requested a payment of 4.8 billion lira ($2.67 million US dollars).

According to French daily "Le Parisien", Zinedine Zidane and his French friend Christophe Dugarry will join Inter next season!

According to Tuttosport, Juventus is after a central defender. Players they are scouting include Gallas from Olympique Marseille and Afanou from Bordeaux. But after the negative responses for Alessandro Nesta and Lilian Thuram, Juve's main target is Sol Campbell from Tottenham. Juve's initial offer of 20 million was refused by the London team. Luciano Moggi is now read to offer 15 million, the same amount he would have spent for Nesta.

Juventus want to sign Lazio defender Alessandro Nesta but Sergio Cragnotti won't enter into any talks unless Juve's Edgar Davids is included in a deal.

According to La Stampa, Michelangelo Rampulla is close to signing a 2-year extension to his current contract!

According to the Italian newspaper, Tuttosport, Juve's interest in John Carew is only a decoy for their real targer: 23-year old striker Ruud Van Nistelrooy from PSV Eindhoven. Milan and Parma are interested in Van Nistelrooy. Parma can only hope to convince Juve in taking Hernan Crespo and letting Van Nistelrooy sign with them.

It was said in several of the Italian newspapers that Marcello Lippi is in talks with Juve's Zinedine Zidane to try and convice the French World champion to join Inter Milan.

According to the Italian newspaper, La Stampa, Juventus are about to sell Sunday Oliseh. If this were to happen, Oliseh's position in the midfield could be replaced by Bari's Daniel Andersson. Marseille are willing to exchange Oliseh with William Gallas. In addition to Gallas, Juventus are also thinking about Bordeaux's Kodjo Afanou.

Apparently the following are teams are pursuing Alex Del Piero: Arsenal (to replace Dennis Bergkamp), Manchester United, Newcastle, Barcelona (to replace Rivaldo), Real Madrid, and Lazio.

Zdenek Zeman, the new coach of Fernerbace would love to bring over Daniel Fonseca for his team.
