These rumors were compiled over a year and a half period. The most recent rumors are the ones on the highest page number. Some of these things have happened already and some will never happen! Have fun reading!

It is most likely that Filippo Inzaghi will leave Juventus after this season. To substitute him, Juve is willing to give money plus a defender (Paolo Montero or Mark Iuliano) for 24-year old Hernan Crespo [Parma]. The alternative is 25 year-old Marcelo Salas [Lazio]. Another solution might be to start Darko Kovacevic alongside Alessandro Del Piero and have two strikers ready off the bench: the returning 25-year old Nicola Amoruso [Perugia] and 23-year old Shabani Nonda [Rennes]. Juve is also interested in 17-year old Alberto Gilardino [Piacenza].

Italian press reports claim that Juventus, Manchester United, Real Madrid and Liverpool have all expressed an interest in signing Inter Milan's Alvaro Recoba. The 24-year-old Uruguayan international striker is locked in contract talk's with Inter club president Massimo Moratti but the number of clubs keen on stealing him away from Milan is growing. According to reports in Italy, Juventus, who nearly signed Recoba when he was still in South America, have signalled that they are ready to offer the player a home should he decline Moratti's new offer. Recoba's contract expires in 2001 with Inter and he will be a free agent then.

Filippo Inzaghi's move to Lazio looks increasingly likely to go through with the revelation that Inzaghi and his Juventus teammate Alessandro Del Piero have developed a bitter conflict. Sergio Cragnotti is constantly in touch with Juventus and may even part with central defender Alessandro Nesta to get the star forward. Del Piero's salary has caused mutterings at his club and Juventus will only be able to sell either the Italian international or Inzaghi and Cragnotti wants to field the Inzaghi brothers as a twin strikeforce.

According to La Stampa, after what happened during Venezia-Juventus last February 20th, Alessandro Del Piero and Filippo Inzaghi had another verbal dispute during the second half of Juventus-Lazio. The two don't seem to get along and it will probably mean that Inzaghi will be sold at the end of the season. Lazio, Inter, and Roma are all interested in him. It was suggested that this presumed acrimony between the two players was started by someone inside Juve to accelerate Inzaghi's departure. Captain Antonio Conte said yesterday that this rumor was started by someone who wants to disrupt the locker room.

Real Zaragoza's Yugoslav international striker Savo Milosevic has played down talk of a summer move to Juventus, suggesting that he is not keen on a switch to Turin. "I don't think it would be a good solution for me as am not one of those who can fight for a place in a squad," he told a Belgrade newspaper. Milosevic is one of the top scorers in Spain with 19 goals this season and has also attracted interest from AS Roma, Barcelona and Glasgow Rangers.

Juventus has announced that they have ended their deal with Kappa sportswear after nearly a quarter of a century of cooperation. The Italian sports gear manufacturer has produced Juve shirts for 24 years but the announcement ends one of the longest sponsorship deals in sport. Juve say the deal will end on April 1 and a new shirt deal will be announced within a fortnight.

Juventus are stepping up their search for a quality central defender and the latest name to be mentioned is Parma and Italy defender Fabio Cannavaro. Cannavaro is considered one of the most reliable defenders in Serie A and is a regular member of Dino Zoff's Italy squad. Juve boss Carlo Ancelotti knows him well from his days in charge at Parma and the two have kept in contact. But Inter Milan are also expressing interest in the player and could be ready to launch a 25 million lire bid. Cannavaro may be ready for a new challenge after several seasons of disappointment with Parma and a chance to play in the Champions League with Juve may be too tempting for him to turn down.

Croatian defender Igor Tudor has signed a new five year extension to his contract which will keep him with Juventus until the end of the 2005/06 season. Tudor has been used largely as cover for Juventus's defensive trio of Ciro Ferrara, Paolo Montero and Mark Iuliano but has done well enough to earn a long term deal. Reserve team keeper Michelangelo Rampulla has also signed a new deal to stay at the Delle Apli until 2002.

According to the English press, Juventus is interested in 18-year old Joe Cole [West Ham]. A Juve scout followed him last Saturday in West Ham-Bradford. Cole currently plays in a role similar to Zinedine Zidane's, behind two strikers. Juve has reportedly offered Lit 25 billion [$12.7 million; 7.9 million] for the player, who would remain in London until June 2002.

Juventus may be willing to get Jonathan Binotto back from Bologna, where he currently is in joint ownership. Binotto, 25 years old, is currently out for the season due to a serious injury. Prior his injury, he displayed himself at excellent levels, even reaching the National team. Binotto's current value is Lit 15 billion [$7.5 million; 4.8 million]. This means that Juve would have to pay Bologna at least of that. The only problem with Binotto, a product of Juve's youth program, is that he plays in the same position as Gianluca Zambrotta and it's very unlikely that Juve would sacrifice him for Binotto.

According to Tuttosport, Real Madrid has made an offer for Paolo Montero, but Juve have refused it. Real's only hope is if Juve aquires another defender (Alessandro Nesta or Sol Campbell), thus making Montero available. Luciano Moggi has reportedly agreed to meet him during the week.

According to reports from the Argentinian press, Hernan Crespo, the striker from Parma, will be the subject of an audacious bid by Juventus in the coming weeks. He would command a fee in the region of 25 million. Transfer talks are alleged to already be taking place, with rumours that Paolo Montero would leave Juve for the Gialloblu as party of the deal.

According to La Stampa Antonio Conte may not play with Juventus next season. He is tired of being criticized for the way he interprets the right wing spot (no crosses). He enjoys playing as central midfielder but does not see himself changing to this position in the near future.

While Roma buys Poggi from Udinese and Lazio gets back Venturin from Athletico Madrid, Juventus does some shopping too. The new Bianconeri is 16 year old goalie Antonio Mirante from Sorrento. Presumably Mirante will join the Primavera team.

Tottenham has made a very serious offer for Zambrotta, and Juve could replace him with Bari's Colautto. It is also rumored that Bari, Cassano and Juve have an agreement that would keep Cassano in Puglia for two more years before transfering the young jewel to Turin.
