Reunion Events: July 28-30, 2006

Friday

2:30 pm, Self-guided tour of JEB Stuart high school  (details, please send RSVP to ).

7:00 pm, Happy Hour at Whitlows on Wilson (directions, parking). Meet in the "Sand Bar" inside. From 7 pm until 10 pm light snacks and one wine/beer provided by the reunion committee. Address is:

Saturday

11:00 am, Family Picnic at Beach 5 in Lake Barcroft (details, registration required). Catering services will be provided by Purple Onion Catering, offered by Alex Hanson Huebner and her husband, John. Rubber ducks and beach balls provided for the little ones by Steve and Linda (Schwarzkopf) Harper while supplies last. Attire: very casual (swim suits and beach wear)

8:00 pm, Cocktail Party with 80's band "Reflex" at Clarendon Ballroom (details, registration required),  sponsored by Mark and Cheryl (Gerber) O'Donnell. Valet Parking sponsored by David Kauffman. Attire: summer formal.

The sponsored events are the cocktail party and the picnic. To register for these events, please make a check out for $90 per adult to "J.E.B. Stuart Class of 1986 Reunion" and send it to:

Upon receiving the payment you will get confirmation via e-mail, so please send your e-mail address with the check. The $90 pays for a single adult to attend the cocktail party, picnic or both. Children's attendance at the picnic is included with any adult registration. We don't recommend bringing children to the cocktail party. Please remember that bringing an adult spouse, significant other or friend costs an additional $90. If you have married a child, please e-mail our legal counsel.

This buys you the following:

Cocktail Party

  • admittance to the Clarendon Ballroom
  • the music of 80's band "Reflex"
  • appetizers
  • dessert bar
  • an unforgettable evening with your JEB Stuart classmates

Picnic

  • admittance to Lake Barcroft Beach 5
  • heavy appetizers from Purple Onion Catering, to include:
    pasta salad, green salad, sesame noodles, coleslaw, cookies, and brownies
  • buns, marinated veggies and condiments for hot dogs and hamburgers
  • bring whatever you want to grill--loaded grills and loaded grillmasters are provided
  • paper products and plastic sliver ware
  • chilled non-alcoholic drinks (lemonade, iced tea)
  • lifeguard-protected swimming
  • as many trips to the porta-potty that you care to take

If events or exigencies beyond the reasonable control of the organizers of these reunion events cause any or all of the events to be changed, altered moved or even canceled, part or all of the registration fee may not be refunded. If such an unfortunate occurrence takes place, every effort will be made to refund any funds that remain within the dominion and control of the organizers to the registrants on a pro rata basis.
