July 29, 2006 : Cocktail Party


What

8:00 pm, Cocktail Party with 80's band "Reflex" at Clarendon Ballroom (registration required). The evening is sponsored by Mark and Cheryl (Gerber) O'Donnell.

The Clarendon Ballroom is a "gorgeous Art Deco-style ballroom [that] has a large dance floor, a long, mirrored bar and lounge areas with sofas and armchairs" (Washington Post). In the heart of swinging Arlington, Virginia, the Ballroom serves as a meet and greet for this area's resurgence as a popular night life spot. Attire: casual.

Upon receiving the payment you will get confirmation via e-mail, so please send your e-mail address with the check. The $90 pays for a single adult to attend the cocktail party, picnic or both. Children's attendance at the picnic is included with any adult registration. We don't recommend bringing children to the cocktail party. Please remember that bringing an adult spouse, significant other or friend costs an additional $90. If you have married a child, please e-mail our legal counsel.

Directions

From the Metro
Take the Orange line to Clarendon. At the top of the escalator, take a "u-turn" and walk to the west 100 yards through Clarendon Park (in the median between Wilson & Clarendon Boulevards). We're across from the war monument.

From Route 66 going towards DC
Exit at Glebe Rd / Ballston. Exit ramp turns into N. Fairfax Dr. Travel about 1 mile, then take a left on Wilson Blvd. We're at the next light at the intersection of Wilson and Washington Boulevards on the left side.

From Route 395, traveling either north or south
Exit at Washington Blvd and head west. Travel approximately 2 miles to stoplight at Wilson Blvd - We're at the intersection on Wilson (look a bit to your right, beyond the monument).

From DC
Take Roosevelt Bridge towards Va. Immediately after the bridge exit on route 50 west (lazy right NOT hard right exit). Travel approximately 1 mile and take right exit on 10th Street, then turn right at second light on Washington Blvd. Go 2-3 blocks to stoplight at Wilson Blvd - We're at the intersection on Wilson (look a bit to your right, beyond the monument).

Parking

Valet parking is part of the ticket price. If you prefer to park yourself there is limited street parking on Wilson Boulevard in the immediate vicinity of Clarendon Ballroom.

If events or exigencies beyond the reasonable control of the organizers of these reunion events cause any or all of the events to be changed, altered moved or even canceled, part or all of the registration fee may not be refunded. If such an unfortunate occurrence takes place, every effort will be made to refund any funds that remain within the dominion and control of the organizers to the registrants on a pro rata basis.
