    Nerfs were once native to the now blown up planet Alderaan. They survived the destruction of Alderaan as they were bred on other worlds. They are four legged, herbivorous ungulates.

    Nerfs are rangy creatures with horns that curve and are covered with long scaly fur that covers their muscular bodies. Their hooves are claw like and they have tufted tails. They tend to have a great deal of saliva in their mouths as they chew their cud and this causes them to drool a lot.

    Nerfs are known to be temperamental and foul smelling despite the fact they are domesticated. they will either sit down or kick their legs at their hapless masters if they disagree with what their masters are trying to get them to do. Their masters for the most part are simple people who live outdoors and are patient. Their masters also tend to travel with their creatures as they migrate about the grassy plains to feed.

Princess Leia talks about nerfs as she had an embarrassing moment at an animal fair as a child. It seems that a nerf spit on her and the nerf's master started to laugh. She said to this day she has a hard time eating nerf as she thinks of that incident and it makes her stomach turn.
