Local Fishing Report
small mouth bass caught & released Olentangy River - Columbus, Ohio
by the Urban Fisherman
"Some days, they will slam any luhr you throw out there...this was one of those days.I thought at first my 'power bait' rubber worm  was just bumping rocks along the bottom in the current!!"caught in narrow passage just 200 yards up from a dam (north of ackerman/dodridge)
MORE notes FROM the URBAN FISHERMAN
"There are plenty of spots to fish from in town. I have caught 5 lb.  large mouth bass in park ponds!
Just have to fish at the right time /weather conditions to bring those leary big boys out and have lots of luck"

Editorial----Are you dissapointed in Berkley Power Bait downsizing there variety of rubber worm selection?
Well, this fisherman has a favorite that they no longer advertise as making! and I have not seen it @ stores or in catalogs or on the internet!
Yes it was  a secret weapon! Very effective for catching 3-5 pounders! Could it have been it caught to many bass?
dilpleeting the fish resource?
could it be the color had a certain chemical not good for fresh water fish?
I cant seem to get an answer.....
more to be written on this important subject!
