| I don't mind opinions of others on this subject, but I also want to avoid receiving any nasty letters afterwards. To tell you the truth, Relena just really exasperates me. I didn't really want to make this page (because some people are against character bashing and I don't want anyone to feel offended by my website). My two main purposes of creating this page are bordem (duh) and I thought this would be funny (sorry if your dislike my sense of humor). If I recieve A LOT of letters asking me to take off this page, I will gladly do so. My opinions are on that of the English Dubbed Version... 1. She is a hypocrit, even though she is said to be in favor of absolute pacifism. Here is one I am really going to be hated for.... -She "tried" to "shoot" Lady Une, but instead, the bullet hit the rose close to her heart. I know Lady Une killed her father and I can understand she has a motive,, but the action Relena took was out of boundries of pacifism. Relena did not take the extreme training Heero Yuy did, so how is it she shot the rose so accuratly... I say she "wanted" to "shoot" Lady Une, but had crappy aim, and instead shot the rose. Hehe. (but I wouldn't blame her... if my father was shot by some freaky woman that looks like Princess Leia, I would try and avenge my fathers death!) -When Heero and Zechs fought at Antarctica, she asked Heero to KILL Zechs. When Noin told her Zechs was her brother, she was all of a sudden, "comfortable" calling Zechs her brother. I don't know about you, but in the episodes I have on tape.... she said the word, "kill". I'm guessing there are many versions of Gundam Wing. 2. She's sad... Why is it that she's always in meetings about influencing pacifism, but she has enough time to track and find Heero around the Earth and space? Did it bother anyone when Heero drove off in the ambulance and she introduced herself when no one was around? What about when she encourages Heero to kill her? Does she fancy guys who say something along the lines of killing her? Isn't Heero an assasin after all? Here's a thought... suppose she's in a run-down alley... a guy comes and puts a gun to her head and says, "Give me all yo money, or I kill you?!" Then she pounces on him and says, "Kiss me you fool!" 3. (This ties with number 2) She always say: "Heeeeeeerrrrooooooooooo!!!!" and "Hmmmmm.... Heero." What's up with that!?! That always annoys me! Almost EVERY time we see her, she says "Heeeeeeerrrrooooooooooo!!!!" and "Hmmm.... Heero." Don't forget the STRANGE look on her face as well! Thank God for changing her character in Endless Waltz. I can easily say that I can accept the Relena we see in Endess Waltz. It was a great idea for her character to mature.... a lot. 4. Too stubborn for my type... I don't know, but I just don't think Relena can except that Heero did not really like her... I think the reason Heero can't kill her is because he is through with killing people, and wants to end war... Don't forget she is the only one who can really bring peace between the Earth and the colonies. If Heero wanted to keep killing people, then there would be no reason for him to fight for peace... -_- 5. BAD choice of friends! Did it ever bother anyone that all of Relena's friends are butt kissers and are more strange than Relena herself? Why on Earth would your friends give a round of applause for giving someone an invitation? Hmmm... unless you are anti-social! Do you think they're in it for the money? Hm........ ~_o 6. She needs some help... The reasons that she is a psychopath (in MY opinion), is all of the above! ^_^ All in all... Relena isn't that bad of a character. She could have been more developed, and she seems to have some characteristics that can easily be improved. If Sunrise had the opportunity to get the feedback of the Gundam Wing viewers and change some things in the series (*hint*hint*), I would be very satisfied. |
