| his page describes the diferences between a spar and a fight. It also tells you the benefits and effects that each will have on your Character and RP's. Be careful because they are important, doing the wrong one can have a bad effect on your Character, so you must read this! |
| SPARING OR FIGHTING? There is a difference between sparing and fighting, you should read this section to learn those differences because they are important. The main difference between a spar and a fight is that a spar is more like a practise fight then a real fight. In a spar all your health and stats get returned to normal after. Also in a spar both players get their power level and experience points increased. Where as in a fight the winner mainly gets the gain. Another important thing is that in a spar you can't die, so you can spar as much as you want. (Max 3 times a day though) In a fight you can choose whether to kill your opponent or not, and if you win the fight you can steal the other persons dragonballs, if they have any. You also get a larger power and experience point gain if you win a fight, where as a spar you don't quite so much. When you fight a creature or alien in training or in a mission, it must be a fight, so you can not spar an alien you see for the first time, for instance you can't say this: I was flying around and I saw an alien down below, so I landed and asked if it wanted to spar with me. It said yes, so we spared. It must be more like this: I was flying around when I saw an alien below, I landed next to it and asked who it was? <Alien> I live out here <Me> Don't you get lonely? <Alien> No it is quite peacefull. <Ae> Oh I see, do you fight much? <Alien> A bit, I'm not very good <Me> I can help you practise, lets spar. <Alien> Ok <Me> But first, what's your name? <Alien> My name is Gendal, what's yours? <Me> I am Exeat, lets spar now. <Alien> Ok The spar begins. In that example you talk a bit, and you find a good enough reason to spar with him, otherwise it would be a fight, The ref also has to say if it's a spar or a fight at the start when you are going to battle. So don't get spars and fights mixed up, it could be fatal. The best way to remember is that a spar is more like a practise fight.
