Tip of the Week 7

There are three things to remember when using the adjective "droch".

1. It ALWAYS precedes the noun.
2. It cannot be used WITHOUT a noun.
3. It lenites all consonants which CAN be lenited.

Calder's Grammar gives some exceptions, but I think these can safely be ignored.

So:

'S e droch bhalach a th'annadsa! - You're a bad boy!

but:

Chan eil sin dona. - That's not bad.
