Trivia: The character of Russ Cargill went through two different designs. Burger King, which licensed the right to make give away figurines of the characters, had started making figures of the rejected design when the change was made for the movie. Also, a number of mutated animals were considered for use, including a four eyed deer and five eyed raccoon, when it was decided to use a multi eyed squirrel as the result of Springfield Lake's pollution. However, the five eyed raccoon was included on the BK Marge Simpson figurine.

During the time Travolta was being considered he met the band (who were initially quite involved with the possible production), and they discussed reforming the band and going on tour with Travolta on vocals. In the end the band chose not to do this because they felt John Travolta was too nice to fill Morrison's shoes.

Trivia: Originally, Jack Nicholson turned down his role in the movie, but after a meeting with Martin Scorsese and Leonardo DiCaprio, he was finally convinced to play the role of Frank Costello. The main reason he joined the production was because he had previously done a few comedies, and wanted to play a villain again, and he considered the character of Costello to be the ultimate incarnation of evil.

Friday, November 16, 2007            RAIDERS OF THE LOST ARK
Trivia: The infamous scene in which Indy shoots a marauding and flamboyant swordsman was not in the original script. Harrison Ford was supposed to use his whip to get the swords out of his attacker's hands, but the food poisoning he and the rest of the crew had gotten made him too sick to perform the stunt. After several unsuccessful tries, someone made the off-handed remark, "Why doesn't he just shoot him and get it done and over with?" Steven Spielberg immediately took up the idea and the scene was successfully filmed.
