What's It All About?

Rules            Movies            Schedule            About             Events & Other Info

It's all about a fun time! Catch up on old favorites, discover new treasures, or just revel in some awful ones. Either way, it should be a good time!

Whenever possible, movies will be shown in their "Original Aspect Ratio." Basically, how it was seen in the theater. The whole picture will be shown, not just what fits a television screen.

This is ALWAYS preferred if it was originally presented that way.

I'd like the movie back, please!
With some releases, you're not getting the whole picture.
Modified to fit your screen? That one's for the dogs!

Most modern movies are shown theatrically in widescreen, but not all. Most earlier films come in the "Academy Ratio" which is very close to most television screens. As with the content of the films themselves, the image size of movies vary.

Subtitles will be available when it is an option. Not all films carry the subtitle option though. But it is a courtesy for those of us who miss lines or just didn't hear it.

All the images on this page are from movies on the list. Iconic images and memorable scenes are just part of the fun! See how many movies you can recognize from the images on this page! Amazingly, Marlon Brando and Robert Deniro are the only two that appear more than once in these images.

About a week (five days minimum) before a scheduled movie, an email will go out announcing (or reminding) what the next movie is. Scheduled movies or movie nights may change due to a changed release date or for any possible reason. If this occurs, you will be notified as soon as humanly possible.

Think of this as a movie club. We watch the film, then if you like, we can discuss it, or even rate it. If not, not a big deal. Your call! Let's say it's an appreciation of an art form, or a few hours away from your life. Get lost in it! Who knows, you may start to get jokes from other movies by looking at their inspiration.
