Dancing was taught in the school, and Christine and Harvey enjoyed those hours while brother Hans would have no part of it.
Harvey left the farm (in Wisconsin) a few years to earn more money in the mineral mines of Colorado. In 1903 he took a trip back to Denmark and upon leaving for the United States, two young girls asked him to help them get to the states. One girl, Mathilde Clausen, became his wife in 1904 and they settled on the farm with Harvey's parents.
