Adolph Johann Otto Hintz [Parents] was born on Dec 24 1901 in Caledonia, Racine County, Wisconsin. He was christened in Trinity Ev Lutheran Church, Caledonia, Racine County, Wisconsin. He died on Aug 3 1958 in Caledonia, Racine County, Wisconsin. The cause of death was heart attack. He was buried in Caledonia Memorial Cemetery, Caledonia, Racine County, Wisconsin. He married Mary Magdalene Gottwald on Nov 20 1928 in South Milwaukee, Milwaukee County, Wisconsin.
Adolph's birth is listed in his obituary as December 24, 1900. However, his sister Hilda was born July 22, 1900, only 5 months prior to that date, so it is assumed that Adolph was born in 1901.
Adolph and Mary lived in the house just west of the Hintz Homestead, at 8904 6-mile Road. Adolph was an expert carpenter, and built the house himself, adding on the garage in 1948. He also remodeled the upstairs dance hall at Husher Bar, 9002 6-mile Road, (located on the corner of Nicholson Road & 6-mile Road) into an apartment for the owners, Joe & Edna Ulcek.
Adolph suffered a massive heart attack at his home on August 3, 1958. Two of Adolph's children, Dorothy (Hintz) Harbach, and Earl Hintz, have homes on the northwest corner of the original Hintz homestead property, 1/2 mile north of 6-mile Road on Nicholson Road. Ralph went swimming with his cousins Donald and Raymond Hintz in the Root River. The current was exceptionally strong that day, and the boys got into trouble.
