We promise, it won't take you 7 weeks to get through the photos as it did to construct the pool!

On February 25, 2000 we made our first payment on the pool. That weekend, we hired someone to build a fence around our property, a city requirement.

Everything was "extra" to this guy! Here you see them cutting down the oleander bushes, but hauling the branches away was "extra". And the fence price didn't include cement, mortar, or dirt for the mix - all "extra". SHEESH!

Since we would have to pay "extra" for removing treestumps in the way, we decided to hire a cowboy with a backhoe to get rid of the pesky things (this is Arizona, afterall, and not all cowboys ride horses). A couple hours later and we had clear ground!

Sigh!  I have always depended on the kindness of strangers - especially when I pay them! This was our cowboy on a backhoe - just for you Jorge!
