| Along with the rest of the uncivilised world, we got up late on New Year's morning and headed out for a gentle stroll around. Galway is quite a vibrant city with a large student population and countless bars and unusual shops, so it was nice to find a bit of peace and quiet along side the river mouth. The river Corrib runs fast and shallow. You might get an impression of this in the top photo - the dome in the background is on the cathedral. |
