| These pictures were taken outside the very impressive looking Jewish Museum with it's steel and glass facade. It has lain empty for the last couple of years. Even so, it has still been open to the public to look around. Unfortunately, when we got there, it was in the process of being filled with it's first exhibits and, therefore, closed. A friendly policeman gave us a leaflet in English about the building. It should be open again by the time you read this. In both photographs you can see a block of flats in the background. The museum is situated in the middle of a load of housing projects. We still felt safe walking round, though, and everywhere was spotlessly clean and free from graffitti. Not like walking round the estates in Hackney! |
