About Ship: The Condor (Romulan designation unknown) Is believed to be the predecessor of the D'deridex class Battleship. The Condor is believed to have entered production in 2318, and is roughly equivalent to our Ambassador Class starship in both size and capability.

Armaments are conventional, with Romulan-designed disruptors and a single torpedo launcher. Defensive systems include heavy deflector shields and a cloaking device. The Condor's main significant feature is the unique double-hull design it shares with the D'deridex. Starfleet engineers have calculated that this design is quite efficient at middle-to-high warp factors (between warp 6 and warp 9).

The Condor is still in service, but it is unclear whether it is a combat vessel or an explorer with combat capability. Little else is known about this class of ship. The Romulans did not field any of these vessels during the Cardassian war, and most information about it has been gathered by SAPINT resources and long-ranged scans of Romulan space.
