President
Chief Executive Officer of the club
Presides at Board of Directors meetings and club meetings
May call for regular and special meetings of the Board of
Directors and the club
Appoints standing and special committees
Ensures elections are properly called for, noticed, and
held
An active member of the Zone Advisory Committee
Immediate Past President
Officially greets members and their guests
at club meetings
Vice Presidents – 1st, 2nd,
and 3rd
If President is unable to perform the duties
of the president’s office for any reason, the Vice
President next in rank shall occupy the position
Vice Presidents may be directed by President to oversee
the functions of various committees
Secretary
Records club minutes
Publishes club newsletters
Acts as liaison officer between club and the District, State,
and Lions International Association
Treasurer
Collects dues and funds from activities for deposit into
club accounts
Disburses funds as authorized by Board of Directors
Maintains financial records of the club
Prepares monthly and semi-annual reports to the International
Office and Board of Directors
Lion Tamer
Responsible for property and paraphernalia
of the club
Seats new members with different groups at each meeting
to insure new member becomes better acquainted
Tail Twister
Promotes harmony, good fellowship, life, and enthusiasm
in the meetings through appropriate stunts, games, and judicious
imposition of fines on club members
Directors
Member of the club’s Board of Directors
Responsible for execution of policies approved by the club
Membership Director
Chairperson of the Membership Committee
and a member of the club’s Board of Directors
Encourage members to recruit new members
Ensures proper recruitment procedures
Ensures proper orientation sessions
Serves on the Zone Membership Committee
Board of Directors
Composed of President, Immediate Past President, the Vice
Presidents, Secretary, Treasurer, Lion Tamer, Tail Twister,
all elected Directors
All new business and policies of the club will be presented
first to the Board of Directors for presentation to member
through a regular or special club meeting
Each club’s Constitution or By-Laws may add
to these offices or duties |
