Most memorable and touching farewell scene ever seen on screen. Wenqiang and Qingqing uttered few words to each other, but every glance and every gesture spoke volumes of their unspoken noble love for each other. |
According to Hanwei this scene was shot on the day Athena was supposed to return to Hongkong. Hanwei who admitted developing special feelings for her, said he felt hard to part with her. So he was able to immerse himself in the sad atmosphere.
He also revealed that it was the highly professional Athena that suggested the kissing scene. She was right. The meaningful kiss that Qingqing gave to Wenqiang will long be remembered by many as the most classic moment of the show, if not in our TV history.
On the aeroplane, Wenqiang read Qingqing's letter urging him to return on next year's Seventh Month Festival...But he never could. Only the paper aeroplane returned...Soobbzzz...
Hanwei met Athena again
Six years after the show was
aired, Athena met Hanwei in Singapore when she was invited to present an award
for Star Awards 2001. She was overjoyed to witness Hanwei receiving
the Best Actor Award.
Though in different hairstyle and dressing, they still look as gorgeous and compatible as they were before.
If only they could act together again...
