A Specialty and Royal Show class winner, Danny's show career started well, placing at every show, then winning his first RCC from the Minor Puppy class. He has added many more RCCs to the collection, and is well on the way to his title.  He is currently enjoying a renewed enthusiasm for the show ring, and has won Best Black & Tan 8 times across three state Specialties.  These critiques say it all!

Placing him first in the Puppy class at the 2001 CKCS Club of SA Specialty Champ Show, Mrs Erna-Britt Nordin (Cavamirs, Sweden) wrote: "Black & Tan with beautiful colours... very well built, moved with nice long strides and happily wagging tail".

Mrs Jenny McAlpine (Annatika, UK) wrote a year later: "BT dog with masculine head and super expression... very well made and a sound mover. Coat gleaming and beautifully presented". 

and in 2003 Mr David Crossley (Tameline, UK) wrote: "Shown in good coat, a true Cavalier head and expression. Nicely made, moved well."

Danny is a very special dog with a vibrant personality and real "look at me" attitude.  His show ring presence, super conformation and breed type make him a delightful show dog, while at home, he *demands* his rightful share of fetch games.  He is the older brother of Ch Sunsetter, Shadow Dancing, Shine Shine and Songbird.

My history-making Ruby boy, Murphy, is the younger brother of Danny (above) and litter brother of Georgia, Sian and Birdie.  After a good start in the Baby Puppy class here in SA, Murphy went to live with Margaret Murphy (Stylesetter Knls) in NSW.  He returned to Chelport at the end of 2003, to be campaigned in joint names between myself and Margaret, and titled in 6 CCs, with some lovely wins against top competition.

FLASH September 2007: Murphy won BEST IN SHOW (all breeds Champ show) under breed specialist Helen furber ("Furbari"). With his previous results, this win made Murphy the highest ever awarded wholecolour in South Australia. He is only the third wholecolour to win BIS in SA, second Ruby, the first of these wholecolours to be owner/bred/handled, and a second generation BIS winning Ruby. A very proud moment for me, and for my good friends Sharon and Barb.
