At Chelport, I
place great emphasis on breeding only from strong, healthy girls. I
feel it is at least as important for them to be healthy as it is for
the stud dog. After all, they each contribute 50% to the genetic
make-up of their progeny, but the girls must also be capable of
sustaining their own health, whilst providing nutrition to their
babies.
My good friends Karen and May (Leisureview) and Marian
(Selcarim), have kindly allowed me to be owned by some of their
lovely girls over the years. Leisureview Lilli Melody, my foundation
bitch, is featured on the Foundations
page. The litter sisters Bailey (Ch Selcarim Black Silk) and Bridie
(Ch Selcarim Never Dreamt), her daughter Geordie (S Dreamin On), and
the lovely Molly (S In The Stars), have also graced my home and
breeding program. In 2002, Geordie gave me 3 lovely girls to go on with,
and in 2004, one of these (Sian) gave me another 4. With another generation, I have been lucky to have several more girls to go on with - these will be added here in my next update. I feel
truly blessed to have some lovely girls to show, and carry my prefix
into the future.

Geordie
was always an enthusiastic showgirl, who gave of her best in the
show ring. Between her three litters (and many phantom
pregnancies!), she gained a number of wins at Breed and Group level.
Geordie has produced some of my best show dogs including Geordan
(C Night Fever) and his promising younger siblings Murphy,
Georgia, S�an and Birdie (see below). Geordie's youthful enthusiasm
was rewarded at the age of 6 1/2 years in May 2003, placing well under UK Breed Specialist Mr David
Crossley (Tameline).
Placing Geordie at the CKCS
Club of SA Specialty in 2000, Mrs Elaine Shail (Rossbonny, UK) wrote
"Lovely size B/T, nice head with dark pigment and rich tan. Good
bone, level topline."...

Dancing JD
Georgia is what you might call
a 'proper little madam' on the lead, and truly has a mind of
her own. So I decided to harness her intelligence
and energy, and she now trials in Agility/ Jumping.

In the show ring, she finally
started behaving, and is impressing with her strong, sound
movement. Full of character, Georgia really keeps me on
my toes, recently "dancing" her way to a CC.
She has been awarded Best of Breed and a number of CCs
against top competition at all breeds championship shows. |

Songbird and Shine Shine
Birdie (left) was the
"baby of the litter' and was always going to be late to
mature. At just over 2 years of age, she came
into her own and started winning Challenge
Certificates. She is a real sweetie, with a gentle
disposition and that lovely soundness and super topline I expect from my girls. Sian (right) has retired from showing and maternal duties, and is the much loved pet of a wonderful family. Sian had some gorgeous
baby girls in 2004(see their page
