ONEMIG BONDOC...PARANGAL NG BAYAN 2002 AWARDEE

Onemig Bondoc was so lucky to be recognized and awarded as the "Huwarang Pilipino Awardee for Arts and Entertainment" from the 17th ANNUAL PARANGAL NG BAYAN AWARDS held last March 9, 2002 at the Philippine International Convention Center. The Parangal ng Bayan Awards or the People's Choice Awards is the Grand Tribute to Outstanding Filipino Achievers. Onemig Bondoc was chosen based from his accomplishments as an actor and an individual who have contributed and enhanced his God-given talent and skills towards nation-building. Onemig is also appointed by the Department of Education as Official Youth Spokesperson. Onemig will tour different schools and universities to promote value of education. Secretary Robert Barbers and Civic Leader Jonathan Navea conferred the award and recognition. Other awardees led by Her Excellency, President Gloria Macapagal Arroyo as Woman of the Year. Among his contemporaries in the Arts & Entertainment industry, only Onemig Bondoc was the sole recipient of the "Huwarang Pilipino" prestigious award. Onemig's proud parents and sisters, Cris Navarro, Vangie Aguilar, Mano dela Rosa, ABS-CBN family and press/media witnessed Onemig's acceptance of his 1st award from the 17th Parangal ng Bayan Awards Foundation.
